RSVP welcomes new faces to the ASAP.  Mike Mullen, RSVP latest volunteer recruit, who also has a birthday this month and Helen Kohen with us from NCOA

RSVP ASAP students will be working toward a goal of owning a donated bike.  Students will earn tokens for participation, homework done and behavior. New schedule date for RSVP ASAP opening in Marshall County.  February 1, 2011.   Special thanks to Wheeling Nailers:  Doug Rogers, Alex Snigelski, Danny Masse, Michael Bedard.  Lowes Home Impovement for donated 200 wood projects.

2010 Highlights of RSVP

AARP Tax Preparation is here!

Tax Season.   Brooke County Senior Center - Tuesday - 9:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.  Due to demand RSVP may ad second day for tax preparation at Brooke County Senior Center.  Please ask when you call.  MUST HAVE AN APPOINTMENT. Please call 527-3410.   Greater Weirton Senior Center - Monday thru Friday 9:30 to 3:30 p.m. Walk-in’s are welcome no appointment necessary.  Please bring 2010 paid personal property tax receipts with prior year tax information.

Special Thanks to Brooke High School for including RSVP in your Martin Luther King Day Event “Break Bread with Bruins” Nine volunteers participated: LaVaughn Coulter, Hank Vincent, Jim Brooks, Ed Brothers, Tom McBride, Mary Schwertfeger, Janet Benzo, Loretta Ceccarelli, Rae Tate,Two RSVP staff Angela Kocher, Kelly Fluharty along with Brooke County VISTA Ashley Gregorash in serving 330 meals to community.  The meal was free and opened to the public. 

RSVP Director received Thank You from LTC Shaw via facebook on behalf of RSVP volunteers for 95 handwritten Thank You cards received by service personnel in Afghanistan. Great Job!

RSVP is collecting juicy fruit gum and hard wrapped candies that will be sent to Service Personnel in Afghanistan.  Please drop off your goodies at your local Senior Center.
