Brooke County Senior Center - Tuesday - 9:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. MUST HAVE AN APPOINTMENT. Please call 304.527.3410. Please bring 2012 year tax return and all of 2013 tax information (including 2013 senior citizens tax credit). CALL for an appointment. RSVP Volunteers will NOT be able to do Real Estate Property or Farm Income Taxes.

Due to assistance requests, RSVP will also schedule appointments on Thursdays throughout March and April

Special Thank you:  Joan Yaeger of Ohio County, who has been an active RSVP volunteer since October of 2010.  She has been busy serving 335 hours at the Children's Museum, Central Blood Bank, Easter Seals, (Cookie Caper, Root Beer Floats,) and Attorney General's booth at Wheeling Home & Garden Show as a consumer advocate for scams, while also serving her neighbors through companionship outreach.  Joan has recruited her stepsister, Mary Lou Kent, and her Avon lady, Barbara Bartinicki. Thank you so much, Joan! 

Pre Sweetheart Party makes Matches:  Thank you, Paper and Press, Ink., for sponsoring the cost for use of the Greater Weirton Senior Center: Also a thank you goes to Lara Cade from Huntington Bank for her generous donation toward miscellaneous supplies.

Also, we want to thank the following who provided refreshments:  Stone Pear Pavilion, Wyngate Retirement Community, Weirton Geriatric Center, and Comfort House. Mary H. Weir Library provided shamrocks to be sent to veterans.  Thank you to The Lescallettes who provided entertainment.  We would also like to give a special thank you to Chris Kilonsky and her cleanup crew, who are RSVP volunteers.

The Pre Sweetheart Party was a success!  79 volunteers and 8 stations were in attendance.  Three new volunteers registered and an estimated 15 volunteers committed to serve at stations.  The winner of the 50/50 raffle was Martie Iannucci who won $37.50.
